Dusunen Adam Journal of Psychiatry and Neurological Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open-access journal for clinicians, scholars, and research scientist in psychiatry, mental health, behavioral sciences, neuroscience, and related fields. The journal has been published periodically since 1984 by the Bakirkoy Prof. Dr. Mazhar Osman Training and Research Hospital for Psychiatry, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Dusunen Adam Journal of Psychiatry and Neurological Sciences aims to educate readers on mental health and related disciplines as well as to stimulate further contributions into the field. The journal considers original research papers, editorial letters and case reports on all aspects of psychiatry, psychiatric disorders, neuroscience and major topics related to field. The primary scope of the journal encompasses clinical, preclinical, and clinically-relevant field studies attempting to address biological and psychosocial determinants of psychiatric and neuropsychiatric disorders, as well as diagnostic assessments, and pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments. Dusunen Adam Journal of Psychiatry and Neurological Sciences is a diamond open access , peer-reviewed scientific journal published quarterly (March, June, September, and December), with four issues comprising one annual volume. It has been the official academic publication of Bakirkoy Prof. Dr. Mazhar Osman Training and Research Hospital for Psychiatry, Neurology, and Neurosurgery since 1984. The journal aims to disseminate high-quality research and scholarly contributions in the fields of psychiatry, neurology, clinical psychology, and neurosciences, fostering an interdisciplinary understanding of mental health and brain sciences while seeking to engage an international readership. Priority is given to studies that provide novel insights with clear implications for psychiatric or neurological sciences and clinical practice. The journal publishes original research articles, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, and letters to the editor offering critical perspectives on psychiatry and related neurosciences. The scope of the journal encompasses: Clinical Psychiatry & Mental Health: Epidemiology, diagnosis, course, prognosis, treatment, and prevention of psychiatric disorders. Clinical Neurology & Neuropsychiatry: Research on neurological disorders with psychiatric, cognitive, or behavioral dimensions (e.g., dementia, movement disorders, epilepsy, stroke, demyelinating diseases). Neuroscience & Translational Research: Genetic, molecular, cellular, and systems level studies that elucidate mechanisms of psychiatric and neurological illnesses. Neuroimaging & Neurophysiology: Studies employing brain imaging and electrophysiological methods in psychiatric and neurological conditions. Biomarkers & Precision Medicine: Biochemical, physiological, neuroanatomic, genetic, neurocognitive, digital, and computational approaches for diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment prediction. Psychosocial & Environmental Determinants: Cultural, social, and developmental influences on mental and neurological health across the lifespan. Interventions: Pharmacological, psychotherapeutic, digital, rehabilitative, and neuromodulatory strategies in psychiatry and neurology.
