Aldea Mundo

Aims & Scope

Aldea Mundo is a scientific publication with a semiannual frequency, sponsored by the Center for Border Studies and Integration (CEFI) “Dr. José Manuel Briceño Monzillo” of the Universidad de los Andes-Táchira, University Nucleus “Dr. Pedro Rincón Gutiérrez” and the Council for Development, Scientific, Humanistic, Technological and of the Arts (CDCHTA) of the Universidad de Los Andes. The CEFI has more than 35 years of existence dedicated to the research of international border and regional integration issues at the local, national and international levels. From this arises Aldea Mundo with the objectives of disseminating knowledge about borders, regional integration, geopolitics and globalization from different disciplines of the social sciences and in different geographical areas, and with the aim of keeping the debates and advances of knowledge in its own topics up to date. The first issue was published in 1996, so it has more than 20 years promoting research and dissemination of the work of the research community.

A twelfth criterion — whether APC fees are clearly disclosed — is not scored here; it is left out of the total rather than counted as a failure. Publication charges appear in the metrics card above.
