Emerald Group Publishing Ltd. · Netherlands · Est. 1996
Aims & Scope
Arab Journal of Mathematical Sciences publishes original research papers, viewpoints, technical papers, conceptual papers, case studies, literature reviews, and general reviews. It covers any type of research undertaken by the author(s), including the construction or testing of a model or framework, action research, testing of data, market research or surveys, and empirical, scientific or clinical research. Papers with a practical focus are also welcome. Viewpoints cover any paper where content is dependent on the author's opinion and interpretation, including journalistic and magazine-style pieces. Technical papers describe and evaluate technical products, processes or services. Conceptual papers focus on developing hypotheses and are usually discursive, covering philosophical discussions and comparative studies of other authors’ work and thinking. Case studies describe actual interventions or experiences within organizations, and can be subjective and do not generally report on research. They also cover a description of a legal case or a hypothetical case study used as a teaching exercise. Literature reviews should only be used if the main purpose of the paper is to annotate and/or critique the literature in a particular field, covering selective bibliographies or exploring main contributors to a topic and their different views. General reviews provide an overview or historical examination of some concept, technique or phenomenon, and are likely to be more descriptive or instructional than discursive.
