Folia Onomastica Croatica

Aims & Scope

Folia onomastica Croatica has been published regularly on an annual basis since 1992. The journal features articles from the wide field of name studies, concentrating mainly on Croatian and Slavic onomastics and theoretical and methodological onomastic problems, as well as on name research related to the Romance, Germanic and oriental areas. Each manuscript is peer-reviewed by two reviewers. In case of contradictory reviews, the manuscript is sent to a third reviewer. Manuscripts lacking in content or value are turned down without being sent to reviewers. Manuscripts are accepted for publishing by the Department of Philological Sciences of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts. Folia onomastica Croatica is published both in hard copy and in an open-access electronic version.

A twelfth criterion — whether APC fees are clearly disclosed — is not scored here; it is left out of the total rather than counted as a failure. Publication charges appear in the metrics card above.
