Aims & Scope

Kinesiology (engl. ekvivalent sports science ili exercise science) se definira kao opća, sveobuhvatna znanost o ljudskome kretanju i upravljanim procesima tjelesnoga vježbanja i njihovom djelovanju na čovjeka, promatranog integralno, kao bio-psiho-socijalnoga bića. Stoga se u časopisu objavljuju članci koji s različitih funkcionalnih, motoričkih, bioloških, biomehaničkih, psiholoških, socijalnih, odgojnih, povijesnih i kulturoloških aspekata procjenjuju i vrednuju promjene antropoloških osobina i sposobnosti te motoričkih znanja i različitih sportskih i tjelovježbenih izvedaba kao i pokazatelja zdravlja i kvalitete života koje nastaju pod utjecajem programiranih procesa tjelesnog vježbanja i treninga u tjelesnoj i zdravstvenoj kulturi, sportu, kondicijskoj pripremi, fitnesu, sportskoj rekreaciji i kineziterapiji. Te se promjene potiču, opažaju, mjere te procjenjuju i analiziraju od razine stanice do najširih senzomotoričkih, živčano-mišićnih, socio-emocionalnih i funkcionalno-energetskih razina u postupcima optimiziranja ljudskoga zdravlja i antropološkoga statusa kao i kinezioloških izvedaba i učinkovitoga motoričkog ponašanja subjekata u pojedinim područjima primijenjene kineziologije.
