The Journal is the successor of the journal "Zbornik radova", first published in 1964. From 2006 to 2025, the Journal was published twice a year (in June and December). Since 2026, the Journal has been published three times a year (in February, June, and December). Aim and Scope– The Scientific Journal of Maritime Research aims to promote multidisciplinary approach within the complex field of maritime studies. Papers dealing with various aspects of nautical science, marine engineering, marine electrotechnology, shipbuilding, traffic, mobility, logistics, blue economy, and maritime law are welcome. Open access:The Journal of Maritime Studies is an open-access journal. This enables open access, search, reading, downloading, distribution, and other legal use. Publishing fee:The Scientific Journal of Maritime Research does not charge any fee for publishing, reading, or downloading papers. Acknowledgement:The Journal is financially supported by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia.
