Aims & Scope
Cuadernos CANELA is a scientific dissemination journal published annually by CANELA (Confederación Académica Nipona, Española y Latinoamericana) and whose theme revolves around the areas of its four sections: Literature, Thought and History, Methodology of teaching ELE, Linguistics. The Confederation's members focus their interests on Hispanism, on the links between the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries and Japan, as well as on Japanese studies. The Literature section publishes research on literary theory or criticism, literary history, comparative literature, aesthetics and stylistics, concerning works from the Hispanic and Japanese world. The Thought and History section publishes comparative and interdisciplinary research that contributes to deepening the knowledge of the cultures of the Hispanic world and Japanese culture, as well as their historical and intellectual interrelationships. The Methodology section publishes research that, within the field of applied linguistics, focuses on language acquisition and pedagogy, with special emphasis on the teaching and learning of ELE, particularly in the Japanese educational system. The Linguistics section publishes, in particular, research on the theoretical linguistics of languages spoken in the Hispanic cultural sphere and in the Japanese archipelago, and on comparative linguistics between these languages. It also includes the publication of articles that refer to the contribution of these theoretical studies to the field of grammar teaching.
