Aims & Scope

Molecular Diversity presents refereed papers describing the development, application and theory of molecular diversity, and combinatorial chemistry in basic and applied research and drug discovery. The journal publishes full-length research papers and both short and full-length reviews. Coverage addresses the generation of molecular diversity, application of diversity for screening against alternative targets of all types, analysis of results and their application in various scientific disciplines. Topics include combinatorial chemistry and parallel synthesis; small molecule libraries; microwave synthesis; flow synthesis; fluorous synthesis; diversity oriented synthesis (DOS); nanoreactors; click chemistry;  multiplex technologies; fragment- and ligand-based design; structure/function/SAR; computational chemistry and molecular design with applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) ; chemoinformatics; screening techniques and screening interfaces; analytical and purification methods; robotics; automation and miniaturization;  targeted libraries; display libraries; peptides and peptoids; proteins; oligonucleotides; carbohydrates; natural diversity; new methods of library formulation and deconvolution; directed evolution; origin of life and recombination, search techniques; landscapes; random chemistry and more.

Frequently asked questions about Molecular Diversity

Is Molecular Diversity a predatory journal?

PubScope has no integrity flags on record for Molecular Diversity: it is indexed in Web of Science, Scopus, and is not on DOAJ's withdrawn list. Indexing is a transparency signal, not a guarantee — always confirm fit and policies before submitting.

What is the impact factor of Molecular Diversity?

Molecular Diversity is indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection, so Clarivate publishes an official Journal Impact Factor for it (since the 2023 Journal Citation Reports, every Core Collection journal — including Arts & Humanities and Emerging Sources titles — receives one). PubScope links to Clarivate's official source rather than reprinting the number, which can be out of date. Its open 2-year mean citedness is 3.21.

Is Molecular Diversity indexed in Scopus and Web of Science?

Molecular Diversity is indexed in Web of Science, Scopus.
