Aims & Scope
Gajah is the biannual journal of the IUCN/SSC Asian Elephant Specialist Group (AsESG). The journal is intended as a medium of communication on issues that concern Asian elephants both in the wild and in captivity. Areas of interest include but are not limited to conservation, management, behaviour, ecology, health, history and cultural aspects related to Asian elephants. It is a means by which everyone concerned with the Asian elephant (Elephas maximus) , whether members of the Asian Elephant Specialist Group or not, can communicate their experiences, ideas and perceptions freely, so that the conservation of Asian elephants can benefit. The journal welcomes researchers worldwide to publish their original research articles.
