Aims & Scope
Sri Lanka Journal of Child Health is the continuation of the Ceylon Journal of Child Health, the first issue of which was published in 1963. This is the only scientific Journal of Child Health in Sri Lanka, and is designed to publish articles on paediatric subjects. As a general rule,the journal accepts for review ONLY articles on subjects less than 18 years of age. However, the journalwill accept articles on the knowledge, attitudes and practices of parents concerning their children.This is the only exception to this operational rule. It is a peer-reviewed, fully open-access journal and is the primary organ of Continuing Paediatric Medical Education in Sri Lanka. It is published quarterly (March, June, September and December of each year). A subscription is NOT necessary for accessing any article in the journal.It is the official publication of The Sri Lanka College of Paediatricians THERE ARE NO SUBMISSION, PROCESSING, REVIEWING OR PUBLISHING CHARGES FOR SUBMISSIONS TO THE JOURNAL. OCCASIONALLY A SMALL CHARGE MAY BE LEVIED FOR COLOUR IMAGES WHICH NEED INTENSIVE COLOUR SEPARATION PROCEDURES. THIS CHARGE WILL NOT BE MORE THAN US DOLLARS FIFTY (US$50.00) The journal is distributed widely in Sri Lanka and abroad and bears the ISSN number 1391-5452 for the print issues and e-ISSN 2386-110X for the electronic version in the internet.
