Aims & Scope
Archaeologia Lituana is an international, annual peer-reviewed diamond open access scientific journal, published periodically since 1999. The target audience of the journal includes Lithuanian and international research community, a staff of museums and heritage institutions, students of archaeology and people interested in archaeology and prehistory. The authors of the articles are archeologists from Lithuania, the Baltic region and other European and other countries. The journal publishes original scientific articles focusing on the history, theory and methodology of archaeology as well as other issues, including data of researched objects. Considerable attention is devoted to the issues of Baltic identity, new research and discoveries and the publication of yet unpublished findings of previous research which is significant to Lithuanian and Baltic archaeology. The journal also welcomes submissions of articles analysing the results of interdisciplinary research and application of new methods in archaeology. This journal has an annex – a monograph series Archaeologia Lituana monographs . Publication frequency - one volume per year.
