Aims & Scope

Jurnal Ilmiah Islam Futura is an international peer reviewed journal published by the Center for Research and Publication of Universitas Islam Negeri (State Islamic University) Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh, Indonesia, since 2001. Jurnal Ilmiah Islam Futura has the primary academic mission to develop various Islamic studies based on contemporary Islamic perspective, particularly in Aceh and Indian Ocean. The word "Futura" means the future of Islam. The Islamic perspective is "how-view" oriented to Islam's values, which is the methodological foundation for the entire discipline of Islamic sciences. Historically, the Islamic perspective has colored the Islamic community's intellectual life, as reflected in scientists' and thinkers' views in the classical period. The perspective has evolved in Islamic discourses and will be expanded continuously to the present and the future. The historicity of the development is a necessity along with the Islamic community's intellectual demands in real life that increases dynamically. The online version of this journal was first published in 2016. The first address of the online version of JIIF was www.islamfutura.org . However, since UIN Ar-Raniry had a new policy to unite all journals under one roof, JIIF changed the online version address to http://jurnal.ar-raniry.ac.id/index.php/islamfutura started from August 2016. Jurnal Ilmiah Islam Futura also has become a CrossRef Member since the year 2016. Therefore, all articles published by Jurnal Ilmiah Islam Futura will have unique DOI numbers. Jurnal Ilmiah Islam Futura is currently indexed and/or included by DOAJ , Sinta , Moraref , Crossref , Index Copernicus , Google Scholar , BASE , etc. In 2017 Jurnal Ilmiah Islam Futura was accredited by the Decree of the General Director of Strengthening Research and Development, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 30/E/KPT/2018 . This accreditation is effective from Vol. 17 No. 1 2017. Then in 2020, this accreditation status has been strengthened by the Decree of the Minister of Research and Technology/ National Research and Innovation Agency of Republic Indonesia Number 200/M/KPT/2020 .
