Aims & Scope

Edentata, the journal and newsletter of the IUCN SSC Anteater, Sloth and Armadillo Specialist Group, was published from 1994–2022. Because Edentata is a taxonomically incorrect name for anteaters, sloths and armadillos, in 2022 we decided to change the name of our journal to Xenarthra . The scope and aims of our journal remain the same, but the format slightly changed; it is now an electronic journal that publishes all articles in their final version, with their corresponding DOIs, as soon as they have been accepted for publication.
