Aims & Scope

O periódicoActa Ortopédica Brasileira(ISSN: 1809-4406), criado em 1992, é órgão oficial do Departamento de Ortopedia e Traumatologia da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (DOT/FMUSP) é uma publicação continuada com fechamentos bimestrais de seis edições ao ano (jan/fev, mar/abr, maio/jun, jul/ago, set/out e nov/dez), com versão em inglês é reconhecidamente uma importante contribuição para os especialistas da área com sua seriedade e árduo trabalho para as indexações já conquistadas. Um dos objetivos do periódico Acta Ortopédica Brasileira, idealizada pelo Prof. Tarcísio E. P. Barros, é levar informações técnicas e científicas atualizadas aos profissionais de saúde interessados nas afecções do aparelho locomotor. Com a valiosa ajuda do corpo editorial, o editor chefe, Prof. Olavo Pires de Camargo, direciona a publicação como instrumento para promover, apoiar, divulgar e zelar pelo aperfeiçoamento técnico e científico e pelos aspectos éticos do exercício profissional da ortopedia e traumatologia. Até 2017 o periódicoActa Ortopédica Brasileiraera impresso, a partir de 2018 passou a ser totalmente online. Este periódico segue o modelo de Acesso Aberto (Open Acess), permitindo o acesso virtual, sem restrição (incluindo restrições financeiras), a todos os textos científicos publicados pelo periódico. Acesso aberto é a condição em que o detentor dos direitos autorais de um trabalho acadêmico concede direitos de uso a terceiros usando uma licença aberta (Creative Commons Attribution, CC-BY), permitindo acesso gratuito imediato ao trabalho e autorizando qualquer usuário a ler, baixar, copiar, distribuir, imprimir, pesquisar ou vincular os textos completos dos artigos, rastreá-los para indexação, passá-los como dados para software ou usá-los para qualquer outra finalidade legal.
