CzasopismoPrace Komisji Geografii Komunikacji PTGwydawane jest obecnie wspólnie przez Komisję Geografii Komunikacji Polskiego Towarzystwa Geograficznego oraz Zakład Rozwoju Regionalnego Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego, gdzie mieści się redakcja. Tytuł został założony w 1994 r. W latach 1995-2011 wydanych zostało 18 tomów serii. W 2015 r. zdecydowano o reaktywacji periodyku i przekształceniu go w kwartalnik naukowy z referencyjną wersją elektroniczną. Czasopismo wydawane jest w wersji elektronicznej na Portalu Czasopism Naukowych Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego oraz w wersji drukowanej, za którą odpowiada Wydawnictwo Bernardinum. Poszczególny numery wydawane są na koniec każdego kwartału danego roku.
