Aims & Scope
Acta Universitatis Lodziensis. Folia Geographica Physica is a journal published by the University of Łódź since 1997. Since 2013, the journal has been published annually. The thematic scope of the published works concerns Earth and environmental sciences, and in particular includes: geomorphology, geoecology, Quaternary geology and paleogeography, meteorology and climatology, soil science, hydrology, archaeology, environmental protection, and the application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in environmental research. Studied natural phenomena and objects are presented in various time and spatial ranges – from global to interesting local examples. Sometimes, socio-economic geography issues are also considered. The journal is dedicated especially to young researchers. Scientific articles are printed in Polish with an English abstract or in English with a Polish abstract. The main goal of the journal is to publish peer-reviewed scientific articles presenting the results of original research of an empirical, theoretical, methodological, or analytical nature. In justified cases, other works are published, including: scientific reports (communications), valuable research data, conference materials, reviews, as well as memoirs, biographies, and reports from important events in the world of Earth and environmental sciences.
