Aims & Scope
Annales Geophysicae (ANGEO) is a not-for-profit international multi- and inter-disciplinary scientific open-access journal in the field of solar–terrestrial and planetary sciences. ANGEO publishes original articles and short communications (letters) on research of the Sun–Earth system, including the science of space weather, solar–terrestrial plasma physics, the Earth's ionosphere and atmosphere, the magnetosphere, and the study of planets and planetary systems, the interaction between the different spheres of a planet, and the interaction across the planetary system. Topics range from space weathering, planetary magnetic field, and planetary interior and surface dynamics to the formation and evolution of planetary systems, as specified in one or more of the following fields: solar corona and heliosphere: physics and dynamics of the solar atmosphere, chromosphere and corona (including emissions, ejections, and magnetic activity), interplanetary, heliospheric, and solar wind physics; magnetosphere and space plasma physics: plasma physics of the interaction between the solar wind and the Earth or with other magnetized or unmagnetized planetary environments; physics of the terrestrial and planetary magnetospheres, including in situ or remote-sensing active plasma experiments; ionosphere and aeronomy: physics and aeronomy of the ionospheres and exospheres of the Earth and planets, including auroral activity, middle-latitude, low-latitude, and equatorial ionosphere, geomagnetism, and magnetic activity; atmosphere and its relation to the Sun: physical and chemical processes of the troposphere, middle atmosphere, and thermosphere; dynamics of the atmosphere, climatology, variability, trends, and solar-related variations; planetary interiors: physics and dynamics of planetary interiors (e.g. mantle dynamics, magnetic fields); planet formation and evolution: physics, chemistry, and dynamics in the context of planet formation (terrestrial planets, ocean, icy, gaseous planets in the solar system, and exoplanetary systems); small bodies to dust: the dynamics, formation, and evolution of dwarf planets, asteroids, comets, and dust in planetary systems; space weather, climate, habitability, and life in the (exo-)planetary context; exoplanets: observations, constraints, and implications.

Frequently asked questions about Annales Geophysicae
Is Annales Geophysicae a predatory journal?
PubScope has no integrity flags on record for Annales Geophysicae: it is indexed in Web of Science, Scopus, DOAJ, and is not on DOAJ's withdrawn list. Its PubScope Trust Score is 96/100. Indexing is a transparency signal, not a guarantee — always confirm fit and policies before submitting.
What is the impact factor of Annales Geophysicae?
Annales Geophysicae is indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection, so Clarivate publishes an official Journal Impact Factor for it (since the 2023 Journal Citation Reports, every Core Collection journal — including Arts & Humanities and Emerging Sources titles — receives one). PubScope links to Clarivate's official source rather than reprinting the number, which can be out of date. Its open 2-year mean citedness is 1.32.
