European Journal of Applied Physiology aims to promote advances in integrative and translational physiology to further understanding of the functioning of healthy humans. Welcomes original research and narrative style reviews dealing with physiological mechanisms underlying exercise, training and performance. Focuses on occupational, sporting, recreational and daily activities throughout the human life-span from childhood to old age. Studies addressing pathophysiology of human movement and physical activity are considered.
