Metsätieteen aikakauskirja

Aims & Scope

Metsätieteen aikakauskirja is an online scientific journal that publishes articles in domestic languages on the subject areas of forest sciences. In addition to peer-reviewed original research articles, reviews, and communications, Metsätieteen aikakauskirja also publishes other topical writings related to forests, forestry, and forest nature. The Tieteen tori section is a forum for popularizing research information and structuring forest science research needs. The Puheenvuoro section is a discussion channel for topical issues. The series also publishes short research reports on articles published in the Silva Fennica and Dissertationes Forestales series. The articles published in the series can relate to forests, forest nature, or the use of forests from any perspective of basic or applied science or interdisciplinarity. The series' articles have a justified connection to Finnish forests.

A twelfth criterion — whether APC fees are clearly disclosed — is not scored here; it is left out of the total rather than counted as a failure. Publication charges appear in the metrics card above.
