The aim of this journal is to develop the field of linguistics, specifically Malay language and its cognates, as well as other language generally, written by various authors including global authors. Jurnal Bahasa also serves as a platform for discussions regarding new findings in the field of linguistics. In addition, Jurnal Bahasa offers the opportunity for information exchange within experts. The scope of this journal includes pure linguistics and applied linguistics which cover the field of Phonology, Morphology, Syntax, Semantics, Pragmatics, Discourse Analysis, Etymology, Psycholinguistics, Terminology, Lexicography and Sociolinguistics.
