Aims & Scope
Lab Animal is a monthly journal covering in vivo science & technology using model organisms of human health and disease. Besides the subscription route, we now offer Open Access publishing. LabAnimal’s focus is on innovative in vivo methods, research and technology covering a wide range of model organisms. Our broad scope ensures that the work we publish reaches the widest possible audience. LabAnimal provides a rigorous and fair peer review of manuscripts, high standards for copyediting and production, and efficient publication. Aims In vivo studies with model organisms are critical for uncovering the complex interactions between genes, cells, organisms and their environment. As a Springer Nature journal, Lab Animal is dedicated to publishing the latest innovations in in vivo science & technology. In addition, Lab Animal also strives to provide the in vivo community with expert opinions on a range of topics through reviews and perspectives, as well as important news in industry, policy and regulatory matters impacting basic and preclinical research. Lab Animal encourages submissions of innovative methods and techniques that improve and expand the use of model organisms in the lab, and research that deepens our basic understanding of model organisms and the opportunities/challenges for modeling human health and disease.
