Covers subsurface and surface sensing, along with systems, networks, and applications in engineering, science, and medicine. Describes the detection, identification, and classification of objects, structures, and matter under and at surfaces. Overseen by an international Editorial Board representing the full scope of the journal. Offers open access publishing at no cost to corresponding authors from participating institutions through Springer Nature Transformative agreements.
