Includes studies based on modern economic, political economic, and international relations theories, using quantitative or qualitative methods. Gives priority to papers that offer a new theory and provide a rigorous empirical test of this theory. Encourages replication and invites comments on published articles. Invites submission of data articles that present high-quality, relevant data expected to be widely used by the research community.
