Aims & Scope

Annals of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and Karachi Medical and Dental College is a medical, dental and basic sciences; nationally and internationally peer reviewed journal being published by the Karachi Medical and Dental College since June 1996 which has an affiliated with Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, KMC. It is an open-access journal, which was initially biannual but with the passage of time it is now being published quarterly since 2016. Each issue of the journal is focused on publishing various categories of research papers and articles focused on latest advances in the field of basic and clinical medical and dental sciences like physiology, anatomy, microbiology, Pharmacology, Oral Pathology, Oral medicine etc like with an aim to provide most recent information to the medical health professionals. In addition to original research the journal also publishes systematic reviews, Knowledge Attitude Practice (KAP) studies, case series, case reports, short-communication, commentary, letter to editor, editorials and pictorial quiz. The manuscripts are received from the researchers all over the world creating a diverse range of topics. All papers undergo a double-blind peer review system of national and international peer reviewers according to the international standards. The journal also aims to provide a platform for the publication of standard quality research articles on recent advances in the field of medical, basic and dental sciences. Manuscripts on the burning topics in the fields of medicine, basic sciences and dentistry are invited. Authors are encouraged to submit all the manuscripts in accordance with the guidelines of the journals and International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). The journal promotes authors to focus on the health and medical issues of developing and under developed countries to highlight the issues.
