The Indo-Iranian Journal focuses on the study of ancient languages and texts from the Indo-Iranian region. Recent articles examine Buddhist Sanskrit and Khotanese texts, including medical treatises and religious scriptures. Scholarship also addresses the philological analysis of ancient Indian texts like the Nāṭyaśāstra and Mahābhārata, as well as comparative linguistic studies involving Bactrian and Avestan.
