Aims & Scope
Barataria is an international and bimonthly (since 2023) publication, issued in June and December, in print until extraordinary issue 25 and electronically, of the Castellano-Manchega Association of Sociology (ACMS). The Association was founded in 1995 and is currently a member of the Spanish Federation of Sociology (FES) and the International Sociological Association (ISA). Barataria is the academic voice for the discursive contributions and applied research of the ACMS members, professionals in sociology and social work. Its primary objective is the innovation of knowledge, from theory and empirical analysis, in the field of social sciences, and especially in sociology. Special attention is given to the social structure and institutions of the Autonomous Community of Castilla-La Mancha. Barataria, formulated as a Castellano-Manchegan journal, welcomes articles, research notes, and book reviews from Social Science specialists worldwide.
