Museu de Ciències Naturals de Barcelona · Spain · Est. 2001
Aims & Scope
Animal Biodiversity and Conservation is an international journal dedicated to the study and conservation of animal biodiversity. It includes empirical and theoretical research articles in all areas of zoology (systematics, taxonomy, morphology, biogeography, ecology, ethology, physiology, and genetics) from all regions of the world. The journal pays special attention to studies that pose a new problem or introduce a new topic, with clear hypotheses and predictions, and to works that are relevant to conservation biology. Purely descriptive articles or faunistic or chorological articles describing the distribution in space or time of zoological organisms will not be published. Studies on rare or protected species may not be accepted unless the authors have the corresponding permits.
