Aims & Scope

About the Journal Aims and Scope The aim of Journal Slovenian Veterinary Research is to advance veterinary medicine by promoting fundamental and applied research pertaining to animal and human health and wellbeing. We publish original and review articles in the field of rapidly developing areas of biomedicine, comparative biology, physiology, and medicine, and one health sciences, as well as case reports, shorter scientific contributions, letters to the editor, etc., which have not been published or are under consideration for publication elsewhere. Publication Frequency The Journal Editor accepts submissions continuously. Slovenian Veterinary Research is published four times a year. Plagiarism Policy A comprehensive manuscripts screening aimed to eliminate plagiarism and provide a high standard and quality peer-review process is performed during the editorial process. Peer review The review process is managed by the manuscript management software (Open Journal Systems). In a single-blind process, at least two reviewers are selected according to their expertise in the field of the manuscript. In case of disagreement between the two reviewers, we invite a third reviewer to help with the decision-making. The final decision resides with the Associate Editors and Editor-in-Chief. We strive to get to the first decision in three weeks after submission and the types of decisions possible are: accept without revision, minor revision, major revision, or reject. Open Access Policy This journal publishes according to the diamond open access model and supports the principle that making research findings freely available to the public encourages the public good through the greater global exchange of knowledge. Slovenian Veterinary Research does not charge authors to publish (APC) nor readers to access published articles. Published articles are not eligible for a fee. From 2021, Slovenian Veterinary Research is published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Share A
