Aims & Scope
RJES (Romanian Journal of English Studies) is an open access, peer reviewed journal that provides annual publication of articles in the following areas: English grammar, English literature, corpus linguistics, sociolinguistics, cultural studies, Audiovisual Translation, Media Studies, and Teaching Methodology. The scope is to keep academics informed about theoretical and applied research based on data drawn from the English and other languages, promoting comparative studies across cultures, and to enable researchers to share valuable insights with the international academic community. The articles published address educators, PhD students and readers interested in applied and theoretical research in the fields of Humanities and Media. RJES is an international journal that aims to promote research and comparative studies in English language in the fields of Linguistics, Literature, Culture, Translation, Media and Teaching Methodology. The journal will publish high-quality studies aimed at increasing the understanding of the interplay of language and culture in both classroom contexts and on the job market where advanced linguistic skills are mandatory. Research addressing one or several of the following issues will be of prime interest to the journal if it: Offers new insights into comparative studies of English and other languages from varied perspectives, such as sociology, pragmatics, linguistics ; Employs an understanding of in-depth literary and media analyses ; Identifies possibilities to integrate new technologies with teaching practice Translates transdisciplinary knowledge into English language teaching tools ; Targets translation studies to foster academic collaborations
