Aims & Scope
RSAJournal (Rivista di Studi Americani, ISSN 1592-4467) is the official journal of AISNA , the Italian Association of North American Studies. It is devoted to all areas of American Studies—including literary and cultural studies, media studies, history, and political science—and aims to foster the debate on the history, impact, and issues of U.S. civilization within a global scholarly context. Published online in open access once a year, RSAJournal reaches an international audience and provides opportunities for engagement, dialogue, and intellectual exchange among American Studies scholars across disciplines worldwide. Its high scholarly standards are ensured through a rigorous double-blind peer review process, the expertise of a global team of reviewers, and the guidance of an international advisory board. Each issue features a thematic Special Section, a General Articles Section, and a Serialized Forum dedicated to pressing disciplinary debates. RSAJournal also features an as-yet unpublished text of relevance to the field. The journal welcomes contributions from both AISNA members and non-members, encouraging innovative, comparative, and critical perspectives that illuminate the complexity of the North American experience. At its core, RSAJournal embraces a humanistic approach: it seeks to amplify urgent questions of the contemporary world while interpreting historical processes in ways that stimulate critical thought and civic awareness. By transcending conventional approaches and encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue, the journal contributes to the vitality of international American Studies and to a deeper understanding of an interconnected world in which North America continues to play a central role.
