Aims & Scope
Geoforum Perspektiv is a peer-reviewed journal published online by Geoforum Danmark and Aalborg University Open Publishing for the association's members with a content of scientific, peer-reviewed articles and other articles. Geoforum Danmark is an interest-based professional association for everyone who is professionally involved in a range of applications of geographic information and data . Members range from private companies to public institutions to researchers, educators and private individuals. The aim of the journal is to disseminate knowledge among professional users of geographic information as well as research and innovation in the field. The journal is indexed in DOAJ ( Dictionary of Open Access Journal ). The journal is also indexed in the Kanalregisteret (Norwegian list). Under the main heading Geographical information, the online publications work with a specific theme, which serves for a thorough and in-depth review of the subject area. The journal's goal is to be a professional forum for research, innovation and knowledge sharing within the fields of GIS, geodata and geographic information. The journal publishes papers on these fields and is aimed at professional users from the Danish Geodata industry, teachers, researchers and students. The journal receives contributions from Danish and foreign authors. Contributions can have a lot of technical content and interest. They can be contributions with methodological, theoretical emphasis or contributions that take a broader view of geodata and their use. This could be, e.g., mapping, didactics, planning, etc. Contributions can cover topics from the entire geodata "food chain", i.e. everything from geodata collection, to geodatabase management, geodata analysis, and to geodata dissemination. GIS software and GIS project management aspects are also welcome.
