Rechtsgeschichte – Legal History (Rg) covers the entire spectrum of the subject and is not limited to specific epochs or legal fields. Its particular profile is shaped by the legal history research conducted at the institute on the legal history of Europe, the worlds of Common Law, and the Iberian monarchies. The journal is international and multilingual in orientation, thus taking into account the diversity of legal and research cultures. Each issue contains contributions related to a thematic "Fokus" (Focus), a "Debatten" (Debates) or "Forum" section with pointed discussion contributions, as well as selected outstanding contributions on legal history topics of general interest in the "Recherche" (Research) section. The "Kritik" (Critique) section features reviews from legal history research.
