Aims & Scope
Acta Linguistica Lithuanica is an international peer-reviewed research journal published since 1957 for scholars in the Humanities and other fields (historians, archaeologists, anthropologists, etc.), as well as for anyone interested in Lithuanian and Baltic linguistics, its context under the framework of the latest trends in comparative and general linguistics. Acta Linguistica Lithuanica is published biannually. RESEARCH TOPICS / AIMS AND SCOPE The research journal Acta Linguistica Lithuanica has a clear mission in the context of both Lithuanian and foreign journals on Lithuanian language studies: it mostly publishes articles on Lithuanian and Baltic linguistics, comparative and general linguistics problems, as well as the most recent linguistic trends and methods. The journal contributes to and promotes the formation of new research directions, as its articles discuss and solve issues of both synchronic and diachronic linguistics. PEER REVIEW Acta Linguistica Lithuanica uses double-blind peer review (neither the authors nor the reviewers know the identity of each other) to avoid bias. See Journal Policies – Peer Review . The Institute of the Lithuanian Language (ILL) complies with the Committee on Publication Ethics Guidelines for Peer Reviewers which provides a comprehensive guide to the ethics of peer review.
