Aims & Scope

UNED Research Journal is a university scientific journal, free for authors and readers (Diamond Open Access), that offers rapid (maximum 4 months) and fair publication with strong international visibility. We only publish data-based university research in biological sciences and technologies, and education research for an academic audience. UNED Research Journal provides a first editorial decision within three days and completes the process from submission to publication in maximum four months. We have continuous online publication ( ISSN 1659-441X) , releasing articles as soon as they are ready. All content is openly available and indexed in major platforms such as Google Scholar and SciELO. By providing immediate open access under a CC BY 4.0 license and charging no fees to authors or readers, UNED Research Journal supports broad and equitable dissemination of scientific knowledge worldwide.

A twelfth criterion — whether APC fees are clearly disclosed — is not scored here; it is left out of the total rather than counted as a failure. Publication charges appear in the metrics card above.
