Journal of Object Technology
Journal of Object Technology · Switzerland · Est. 2002
Aims & Scope
Object Technology refers to the science and engineering of software systems, not to software applications in general. JOT publishes research on how software is designed, built, analyzed, and maintained — not on the use of software to solve problems in other domains. Topics in scope include programming languages and paradigms, compilers and virtual machines, software language engineering, model-driven and model-based engineering, domain-specific languages, software architecture, software verification and validation, software maintenance and evolution, software analytics, and development methodologies. The following topics are typically not in scope, even if the work involves software development: image and video processing, signal processing, mobile application development (unless focused on software engineering methods), IoT device-level systems, machine learning applications, transportation or logistics systems, and domain-specific tools without a software engineering research contribution.
