Aims & Scope

Frontiers in Cellular Neuroscience is a high-impact open-access journal that publishes rigorous and insightful research on the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying nervous system function and dysfunction. We are interested in all aspects of cellular neuroscience, including but not limited to: neuronal development, synaptic plasticity, neuroinflammation, glial biology, neurodegenerative diseases, and neural repair. Our scope includes studies using a wide range of experimental approaches, from molecular and genetic techniques to in vivo imaging and behavioral analyses. We welcome original research articles, reviews, mini-reviews, and perspective pieces that contribute to our understanding of the nervous system at the cellular level.
