International Journal of Engineering Research in Africa
Trans Tech Publications · Switzerland · Est. 2010
Aims & Scope
The International Journal of Engineering Research in Africa publishes articles dedicated to sustainable solutions in the application of natural and bio-based materials for wastewater treatment, soil amendment with biochar, infant nutrition and green concrete production. Special attention is given to issues related to energy transition, particularly in the context of hydrogen production. The issue will be helpful to specialists in mechanical engineering, construction, energy development and environmental safety. The journal also features articles on biofuel production, the design of machines for processing recycled aluminium, geotechnics, road construction, and building materials, as well as monitoring seasonal variations in water quality and optimising photovoltaic system protection. Research results are useful to specialists in chemical production, construction, ecology and power engineering. Other topics include high-entropy alloys, machinery, power engineering, construction, geotechnics, structural mechanics, green building materials, concrete and insulation materials, energy efficiency inspection of pump systems, real-time thermodynamic analysis of gas turbines in combined cycle power plants, pipeline anomaly and leakage detection mechanisms based on deep learning, analysis of tracking control systems for photovoltaic systems, materials science, biogas upgrading techniques, grey water treatment and solar water pumping, orthogonal simulation tests for evaluating fretting wear in low-speed diesel engine connecting rods, development of control systems for waste-to-energy thermal power plants, properties of alloys and polymer composites, theoretical study of heavy metals adsorption on amine functionalised porous carbon, mechanical engineering research and design, green construction practices, mechatronics, corrosion protection, power electronics, geological research, flood risk assessment, transport mechanism in diffusion layers in proton exchange membrane fuel cells, mechanical characteristics and performance of green building materials, predictive control for biomass boilers, automatic generation control in power systems, analysis of efficient resource allocation in cloud computing, mechanics of materials, design of tools and equipment, semiconductors for power electronics, transient stability of photovoltaic systems, management of construction waste, concurrent engineering for managing design changes in architectural design, properties and processing technologies of structural materials (steel, polymers, composites), analysis and design of sliding mode controllers, automation of centrifugal pumps, design of geothermal heat exchangers, seismic behaviour of soil-based structures, and mechanics of river sediments transfer.
