《中外公路》（原《国外公路》）创刊于1980年，双月刊（双月19日出版），国家级技术类科技期刊，长沙理工大学主管（2001年前交通部主管）、主办，中国标准连续出版物号:CN 43-1363/U，ISSN 1671-2579。 主要成绩：公路运输类中文核心期刊（2004年版—2017年版），中国高校优秀科技期刊，中国科技核心期刊，首届中国高校特色科技期刊，RCCSE中国核心学术期刊（A）,湖南省“双十佳”期刊，“桥梁工程与隧道工程”栏目被评为“首届湖南省期刊优秀栏目”，WJCI收录期刊、《公路运输领域高质量科技期刊分级目录》T2级、中国高校科技期刊建设示范案例库 优秀科技期刊，入选湖南省培育世界一流湘版科技期刊建设工程项目 梯队期刊。同时被Scopus, DOAJ, COAJ, ICI World of Journals, ICI Journals Master List, CAS, Ulrichsweb, EuroPub等多家国内外重要检索系统收录。
