办刊宗旨：促进航空领域学科理论和实践的发展，为有价值高水平的航空类学术论文提供发表和交流的平台。本刊反映我国航空航天科技领域在工程方面的最新成果，促进其在国民经济各部门中的移植和应用，沟通国内外学术交流，加速科技与经济结合，为我国的现代化建设服务。刊载内容：飞行器总体设计、飞行器空气动力学与飞行力学、飞行器结构与强度、航空发动机、飞行控制、飞行器航电机电与机载、飞行器材料与制造、飞行器安全性与适航、飞行器可靠性与维修性和保障性、航空工程教育与管理等。本刊为开放获取（Open Access）期刊，采用CC BY许可。所发表的全部文章一经出版，均可立即和免费的获取。用户（含作者）无需获取出版商或作者的事先许可，可以阅读、下载、复制、传播、打印、搜索、连接至著作全文。自2022年起，本刊发表的所有文章均为开放获取。
