Aims & Scope

Estudos e Pesquisas em Psicologia is the scientific journal of the Institute of Psychology of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Created in 2001, the journal publishes original articles, brief communications, critical reviews, as well as interviews and authorized translations of texts relevant to the area. It also welcomes reviews of films and other cultural productions with an impact on contemporary psychological debate. Since 2024, the journal operates in continuous flow (rolling pass), ensuring greater agility in the editorial process and dissemination of research results. In the Qualis CAPES 2021–2024 system, the journal is classified as A3. All published articles receive a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and have abstracts in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, ensuring international accessibility and visibility.

A twelfth criterion — whether APC fees are clearly disclosed — is not scored here; it is left out of the total rather than counted as a failure. Publication charges appear in the metrics card above.
