Aims & Scope

Library and Information Sciences(LIS) is an open-access, peer-reviewed, quarterly journal librarians, information scientists, specialists, managers and educators interested in keeping up to date with the most recent issues and developments in the field.Library and Information Sciencesinvestigates the functions of libraries and information services from both a historical and present-day perspective and analyses the role of information in cultural, social, organizational, national and international developments. It focuses on the research process in library and information science as well as research findings and, where applicable, their practical applications and significance. It provides a forum for the publication of research findings and practical developments as well as for discussion papers and viewpoints on topical concerns in this profession.
