Aims & Scope
Journal of Kinesiology and Exercise Sciences (ISSN: 2956-4581) is a peer-reviewed open access scientific journal, which publishes original articles, critical reviews, research notes, and short communications in the interdisciplinary field of sports science and physical culture science. The journal has been operating since 2001 under the auspices of the Academy of Physical Education in Krakow. JKES focuses on publishing scientific information that broadens the scope of knowledge about movement and sport, which is based on the following scientific sections: Kinesiology: This section publishes scientific research related to human body movement. It focuses on analyzing the processes of motor control, body coordination, and movement mechanics in the context of sports and physical activity. Sport Physiology: This section concentrates on research related to the physiological responses of the body to physical exertion. It includes the body's adaptation to training, performance analysis, and reactions to physical loads. Sports Biomechanics: Here, research on the mechanics of motion in the context of sports is conducted. This section analyzes forces, moments of rotation, and other factors that affect the efficiency of sports movement. Sports Biochemistry: This section deals with research related to biochemical processes occurring in athletes during training and sports competition. Sports Psychology: This section publishes psychological research related to physical activity and sports, including aspects of motivation, concentration, stress, and athletic achievements. Sports Medicine: It encompasses research on sports injuries, health prevention in sports, and medical care for athletes, including the impact of sports on health. Sports Theory: This section focuses on theoretical aspects of training, sports programming, sports organization, sports policy, and sociological aspects of sports. Public Health, Paralympic Sports: This section investigates the impact of sports on public health and analyzes sports for individuals with disabilities, including their health and social benefits. Nutrition in Sports: This section conducts research on the diet and nutrition of athletes, including the influence of nutrition on their sports performance. We publish innovative work that extends the current field of knowledge.
