The inauguration of International Journal of Modern Anthropology coincides with a time when some findings from anthropological research provide new conclusions against some classic questionable considerations and / or show a tendency to do some syntheses of multidisciplinary data. The revelation of these two events marks the birth of a modern anthropology. The principal aim of this journal is to contribute to the development of this modern anthropology. In fact, the traditional break between different specialities of biological anthropology and those of cultural anthropology led to a smash of the man study. In addition, the persistence of some classic questionable considerations even in some recent publications would have somewhat restrained the progression of the anthropological science. Modern anthropology comes to head all anthropological specialities and to permit the confrontation of knowledge, which will stimulate researchers to start real grand syntheses from multidisciplinary data. In addition, it comes to encourage anthropologists to get rid of questionable considerations.
