Aims & Scope

Politics and Religion is a leading international journal that publishes high-quality, original research on the relationship between religion and politics in the contemporary world. It aims to foster dialogue between scholars from different disciplines and traditions, and to contribute to a deeper understanding of the complex and evolving role of religion in political life. The journal welcomes submissions that engage with a wide range of theoretical and methodological approaches, and that address topics such as secularism, religious nationalism, political Islam, the role of religious actors in international relations, and the politics of religious freedom. Politics and Religion is published quarterly by Cambridge University Press.
