Biofuels publishes research on bio-based technologies, innovations, and strategies that contribute to reducing carbon emissions and fueling the transition toward a sustainable bioeconomy. It emphasizes understanding and advancing the application of biotechnology, bioengineering, and genetics to improve plant, algae, and other carbonaceous feedstocks, as well as devised conversion systems. The journal provides a forum for all stakeholders in the bioenergy sector with a view to establishing an international community of bioenergy communication.
