Aims & Scope
Studia Rosenthaliana is the world's only scholarly journal on the history, culture and heritage of the Jews in the Netherlands. Established in 1967 by the late Dr L. Fuks and covering a variety of subjects such as the history of the Portuguese Jews in the Low Countries, topics on the local history of Jewish communities and on Jewish art in the Netherlands, Studia Rosenthaliana includes contributions by scholars such as Jonathan Israel, Yosef Kaplan and Herman P. Salomon. Studia Rosenthaliana is published in English only and contains articles in the field of history, culture and heritage of the Jews in the Netherlands, together with a section of historical sources. The Bibliotheca Rosenthaliana, the Amsterdam Municipal Archives and the Amsterdam Jewish Historical Museum publish from their holdings and announce new acquisitions. This section is also designed for related bibliographical, art-historical or archival studies and for the publication of unpublished historical sources in the various languages used by the Jews of the Netherlands.
