Küldetésnyilatkozat:4D a Magyar Agrár- és Élettudományi Egyetem Tájépítészeti, Településtervezési és Díszkertészeti Intézetének lapja, de a hazai tájrendezés, szabadtér-építészet, kerttervezés, történeti kertek kutatása, kertépítészeti műemlékvédelem, település- és tájrendezés, tájtervezés, tájvédelem és-rehabilitáció területén működő minden szakembernek, alkotónak, a szakterület egészének szeretne színes fóruma lenni. A folyóirat szakmailag lektorált cikkeket, eredeti tudományos közleményeket, továbbá ismertetéseket, personáliákat is közöl.
