Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Law
CEDR - Hungarian Association of Agricultural Law · Hungary · Est. 2016
Aims & Scope
The journal publishes original studies, translations, and reviews from all areas of legal science. The JAEL aims to further develop Hungarian legal science and integrate agricultural law, environmental law, energy law, and related legal fields and branches into international scientific life. Accordingly, the Editorial Board of JAEL considers it important that among the authors, Hungarian authors publish their studies in both Hungarian and a foreign language commonly used in scientific life (primarily English, German, or French). With this solution – in the opinion of the Editorial Board – JAEL can contribute to the survival and development of Hungarian legal science, and at the same time make the results of Hungarian legal science visible and accessible to the international scientific community. At the same time, supplemented by a group of authors whose native language is not Hungarian, the practitioners of Hungarian legal science can bring international and European trends closer to Hungarian legislators and legal practitioners. The primary goal of JAEL is to publish original legal studies on agricultural law, environmental law, energy law, and related topics, from lawyers and – if they meet the requirements set by JAEL – non-lawyer authors dealing with the subject. In addition to publishing studies written with scientific rigor, other works of scientific value may also be published separately on an occasional basis (reviews, summaries of conference conclusions, etc.). In these cases, the peer-review criteria shall naturally apply. Within JAEL, it is possible, with indication, to publish a (e.g., conference or student) 'special issue', for which the peer-review rules apply only in part.
