Casopis pro Pravni Vedu a Praxi
Masaryk University · Czech Republic · Est. 1993
Aims & Scope
Časopis pro právní vědu a praxi is a peer-reviewed academic law journal that focuses on the publication of original scientific articles from the field of law and legal science (section articles), as well as information from scientific life and reviews. Its goal is to become one of the prestigious general law journals in the Czech Republic and to provide quality original contributions that have undergone a review process and subsequent assessment by the editorial board. The journal is published quarterly, with all contributions reviewed by at least two external reviewers within a "double-blind" review, meaning the reviewer does not know the author's name and the author does not know the reviewer's name, i.e., the origin of the comments. The final decision on the publication of all contributions is within the competence of the editorial board. The identity of the authors is not known to the members of the editorial board until the final decision on the contribution. The journal is indexed in the ERIH+, Scopus, CEEOL, and DOAJ databases. Texts published in ČPVP are made available with the authors' consent for the subsequent dissemination of processed data in legal information systems ASPI, Beck-online, and CODEXIS. The journal Časopis pro právní vědu a praxi has been included in the SCOPUS citation database of professional peer-reviewed literature since volume XXVII/2019. The journal publishes original academic studies dedicated to Czech and European law, or general, methodological, or legal-theoretical issues. Contributions concerning other national legal regulations are accepted for review only if they have significance and impact on the field of Czech or European legal discourse or are relevant from the perspective of legal theory. Serial publications (articles "in installments") are published only exceptionally. The editorial board decides on exceptions, considering the topic and scope of the contribution. In such a case, it is necessary to submit the anticipated individual parts of the publication simultaneously, and the editorial board decides on all parts of the manuscript at the same time; due to the review process, this does not guarantee that the second or subsequent parts will always be published. The manuscript must be written in Czech, Slovak, or English. Authors must transparently state how AI tools were used in the creation of the manuscript. Each manuscript must include the author's name, information about their professional background, and the author's email contact. Manuscripts submitted to peer-reviewed sections must always include an abstract and keywords in English. If the manuscript itself is written in Czech or Slovak, it must also include keywords and an abstract in the language of the manuscript. The final classification of the contribution into a section is decided by the journal's editorial office and the editorial board.
