Aims & Scope

TheInternational Journal of Armenian Genocide Studies(IJAGS) is a peer-reviewed, biannual publication by the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Foundation, dedicated to disseminating high-quality, original research on the Armenian Genocide and related topics. Established in 2014, IJAGS experienced a temporary pause in publication during 2017–2018 due to changes in the legal status of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute. Publication resumed in 2018, and since 2021, the journal has been issued twice annually. Former Editors:Dr. Hayk Demoyan(Founding Editor: 2014-2016)Dr. Harutyun Marutyan(2018-2024) IJAGS only publishes manuscripts in English.IJAGS accepts only the original articles. IJAGS considers all manuscripts on the strict condition that:1. the manuscript is your own original work, and does not duplicate any other previously published work, including your own previously published work;2. the manuscript has been submitted only to IJAGS; it is not under consideration or peer review or accepted for publication or in press or published elsewhere. IJAGS accepts the following types of submission:Research ArticleReview ArticleBook ReviewLetterNote Aims and ScopeIJAGS contains theoretical papers on genocide studies, atrocity crimes, modern history, memory studies etc. with a special focus on the Armenian Genocide.
